Dotted along the coast just minutes from home, rockpools and protected ocean baths abound. These crystal clear infinity pools have delighted children of all ages for generations. Alongside Coogee Surf Club is the Ross Jones Memorial Pool with its quaint sandcastle-like walls. At the far stretch of Coogee’s southern headlands, the celebrated Wylies Baths is one of the last surviving examples of the seaside pools once common throughout Sydney. Ideal for lap swimming or a casual dip, Wylies also offers morning yoga classes, a kiosk cafe, swimming lessons, and Sydney’s only seaside outdoor massage therapy. To Wylies’ north, the McIvers Baths is an equally beautiful, though smaller, ocean pool reserved solely for women and children. To the south you’ll find steep steps down to the tiny Ivo Rowe Pool, visible from the walking track above.
